The Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport (DCMS) leads on digital and recognises that to achieve this we need flourishing ecosystems and strong technology sectors, spread across the UK. In November 2017, the merging of TechCity UK and Tech North was announced to speed up the growth of the UK's pioneering and innovative digital companies and clusters. In 2018, this merger formed Tech Nation, an independent, private sector organisation, reflecting the organisation's growing focus on supporting the tech ecosystem throughout the whole of the UK. This tender is for the evaluation of Tech Nation's work so far, assessing the impact and economic benefit of the full range of its programmes, reviewing the implementation of recommendations from previous evaluations and checking that current monitoring systems are optimum.
