The masterplan will, through stakeholder engagement and working with the business development consultant (to be appointed by a separate procurement exercise), generate zoning and indicative space requirements for the proposed clusters. These are: Newcastle University Academic Zone, Discovery Crucible, Spectrum of Independence, Integrated Health Hub (NHS), NHS Walk In Centre (existing), residential/commercial zone. The appointed design team will need to develop a masterplan for the full site taking into account the various site ownerships and stakeholder requirements.
