Cambridgeshire County Council has set up an Open Framework under the 'Light Touch' provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations (Chapter 3, Section 7 - Social and Other Specific Services). The Open Framework commenced on 01/05/18 and is for a period of 10 years. The Framework will re-open periodically for new and previously unsuccessful providers to apply. The closing date of the current opportunity to apply will be determined at a later date. The Open Framework is for day opportunities for adults with a learning disability. Providers must recognise the role they play in ensuring that people with learning disabilities experience the good health and well-being necessary to live a meaningful life. The Council is trying to move towards a model that helps people to live as independently as possible at all levels of need, so the focus is on progression.
