The success VCSE must provide a high quality community facility providing a hub for local residents and the wider community with a range of social, economic, recreational and learning opportunities whilst promoting equality, diversity and community cohesion. The aims and objectives of the Chobham Manor Community Facility will be to: • provide a high quality and attractive environment to encourage community participation • promote partnership working with a wide range of stakeholders to maximise opportunities for programme and project development. • widen access and encourage greater involvement in learning, sports, cultural and other community activities, for a diverse community. • meeting the needs and aspirations of the Chobham Manor community through developing a range of initiatives and services to meet the social and economic needs of local residents. • create opportunities for physical and mental health improvements in the local community bringing together sporting activities and health projects • provide facilities for small conferences, seminars and meetings to cross subsidise community events • develop commercial opportunities which financially will support community activities. • develop a governance structure that will support long-term sustainability • develop a financial plan that will deliver self-sufficiency and stability L&Q intend to invite proposals from suitable organisations and would welcome initial expressions of interest from providers who would like to be considered for the project.
