The aim of the Service is to provide service users and their parents/carers with: - High quality information, guidance and advice on Direct Payments and the legislation involved; - Information on purchasing care and support directly; - Information on the support services and opportunities available locally. The service also aims to promote the use of Direct Payments with all stakeholders and support the recruitment of Personal Assistants locally. This contract is for three years, with an option to extend for two discretionary one year periods, making five years in total (3+1+1). The maximum annual budget is £170,000 for the core information, advice and guidance service. The successful provider will also offer managed account and payroll services to service users.
