The Medico-Legal Centre Mortuary is licensed under the Human Tissue Act 2004 and operates in compliance with the Human Tissue Authority standards. Service Providers responsible for transporting the deceased on behalf of the HM Coroner will be expected to operate to the highest Professional Standards of Health, Safety and Hygiene, maintaining the security of the bodies in their care and treating the deceased with dignity and respect at all times. For information purposes only to give an indication of historical demand in the last year there were approximately 375 body collections made.
