Ministries of Health among the UKOTs have highlighted as a priority the training of staffing groups and the general public in understanding mental health problems and being able to recognise when these occur in those they come into contact with. They are seeking to increase training capacity in Mental Health First Aid. PHE (The Authority) have agreed to incorporate this in the programme of support for 2020/21. The programme objective for the work in mental health is: Strengthened mental health system in each UKOT with increased capability to address the burden of mental health.
