Contractors will be selected from a list of those expressing an interest based upon experience and suitability. Tendering contractors must be experienced in the installation of Honeywell GENT fire alarm systems and be Gent 24 Approved Elite Systems Integrators or better. The works are the installation of a replacement fire alarm system in accordance with HTM 05-03, British Standards and the electrical consultant design drawings and specification and decommissioning/ removal of the existing fire alarm system and making good following new installation at the Radbourne Unit, Royal Derby Hospital site, Derby. Based on the Royal Derby Hospital site, the Radbourne Unit is the Trust's main inpatient service for Derby and South Derbyshire residents with acute mental health needs. The Radbourne Unit consists of four adult acute inpatient wards called Ward 33, Ward 34, Ward 35 and Ward 36, an enhanced care ward (ECW), an OT hub, ECT suite, a mother and baby unit and supporting offices and education centre. Works will be carried out in 'live ward' environments throughout the installation.
