Its members map across the biomedical research landscape. Our mission is to unravel the basic biological processes and tackle major biomedical challenges, generating knowledge that is vital to human health and educating the next generation of bio-scientists. The Institute is composed of bioengineers and cellular, molecular and computational biologists, working closely together with clinical and technological experts. Our research income is in excess of £11M per year, split over 62 projects from a variety of funding sources including UK charities, Research Councils, UK industry, EU (both industry and government).
