The scheme will consist of a number of cycle improvement schemes at various locations in and around Southport to improve the East - West cycle links, in advance of the long term expansion of the existing Kew Business Park and the development of over 1500 homes are planned for the area around Kew. Funding has been secured through a combination of the Sustainable Transport Enhancement Programme (Local Growth Fund) and the Sustainable Urban Development (SUD) fund (funded through the European Regional development Fund).
