The purpose of the contract is to give LCC unilateral control and virtually unlimited network bandwidth scalability for the future to support the acceleration of the Councils digital vision. As an absolute minimum, the Council expects any solution to be capable of delivering reliable, resilient and continuous ultra-fast and low latency fibre connectivity. The planning, design and construction of the network will be the responsibility of the Provider, who will further be responsible for all associated implementation and running costs.
