The resulting closure of the King's Dyke level crossing barrier causes significant delay to traffic. The project, to bypass the level crossing has been a priority for Cambridgeshire County Council (CCC) for a number of years. It has planning approval, the land is acquired and the detailed design phase has just been completed. On 15th August 2019, CCC's Economy & Environment Committee approved the procurement for a contractor to deliver this high profile project. CCC will host a market engagement event near Cambridge on the morning of 10th September 2019. At the event, representatives of the council will present the project and invite questions and feedback from attendees. Organisations that wish to attend the event are requested to confirm their interest in attending to by Thursday 5th September.
