The North York Moors National Park Authority (NYMNPA) has developed proposals to restore areas of coniferous plantation in Arncliffe Wood to a mixture of broadleaved woodland and wooded heath through the felling and extraction of the current mature conifer crops, and the planting and regeneration of native trees and shrubs, along with the regeneration of heathland vegetation where appropriate.
