The Council currently provides a weekly food waste collection service to approx. 70,000 households. This contract is to secure a treatment/disposal outlet for the food waste collected. Full details of the service and the requirements are detailed in the specification. Estimated tonnages based on current participation rates are 5,200 tonnes p/a. The order volume is dependent on the tonnage collected from residents, therefore, the Council cannot guarantee the volume level stated.
