Adult's services - The service provider will be required to support people to manage Direct Payments given to individuals by the Local Authority, to ensure the individual is confident in the care being provided and confident in managing the finance element of Direct Payments. Encouraging empowerment and independence. Childrens services - The service provider will be required to provide a support and advocacy service to all children and young people up to the age of 18 and their parents/carers who access Direct Payments who are assessed as eligible via the Children with Disabilities Social Care Team.
