This additional same day capacity would include face to face and video consultations. The service would improve access to primary care services in Merton and support the direction of travel to enhance digital access to general practice in Merton and a 'digital first' approach. The capacity would be linked to the outputs of online symptom checkers and alternative digital/ other routes through which a need for sameday access is identified. A digital first approach to patient access with an integrated front door to primary care services through an app,smart phone friendly web-sites, digital telephony and online symptom checkers. Patients will have the ability to book appointments online and have video consultations.
