In June 2018 the Council revealed plans to redevelop the site as a centre for outdoor pursuits with the prospect of new jobs and community benefits in the locality. There have been historic problems of unauthorised occupations of the Council-owned land at the Ski Village site specifically on land bordered by Wallace Road and Pickering Road. The land is currently occupied by New Age Travellers (NAT's). There are approximately 75 caravans/trailers on site, though this number has varied over the past few years, housing around 30 people. The occupiers do not have permission to be on the land and a decision was made in 2015 under delegated powers to seek to recover possession. ## CPV classification Other community, social and personal services Source Contracts Finder (UK) [View official notice](https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.uk/notice/a25a5a70-2cad-475d-a292-88392253e018) Never miss a tender like this again Get AI summaries, deadline alerts and a bid pipeline for tenders matched to your business.
