Community Direct Access Radiology is a service providing diagnostic imaging to NHS Harrow CCG patients out of hospital. The service allows General Practice to refer straight to diagnostics for specified modalities and works closely with primary and secondary providers to integrate services and provide improved outcomes for patients. The current contract is due to come to an end on 31st March 2019. Agreed modality is Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). This interim contract is deemed essential to ensure a continuity of an essential service provision to the CCG's patients. Additional information: This interim contract is being awarded to InHealth Ltd, for a period of 6 months (until 30th September 2019) to ensure continuity of essential health services to the local population whilst the CCG works collaboratively with neighbouring CCGs to procure a substantive new service with amended scope and value. The CCG has assessed that InHealth is the best provider to provide community direct access radiology for its patients as they are the incumbent and their selection will ensure no disruption to service. This contract will provide an interim transitional and stabilising arrangement with the provider until a new provider is selected. The CCGs have commenced engagement with the market to assist development of its future specification of requirements, with the intention of informing the process to award substantive contracts to deliver the new models of care from October 2019 at the latest.
