The provision of high quality stop smoking services is a key priority in improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities among local populations. Stop smoking services sit within a national and local tobacco control plan and form a crucial part of wider action to reduce smoking prevalence in Sunderland. The SSSS will provide a single point of access in Sunderland to: • Smokers who met the inclusion criteria. • Universal NHS Stop Smoking Services such as Pharmacies and General Practices. • Self-support for those who want to stop but do not want professional help.
