The results of new private investment can be seen around the town, with new seafront apartments being built, national food outlets arriving and the refurbishment of the award winning Pier. The tender is split into two Lots: Lot 1 - Meridian Showground Lot 2 - Discovery Centre, Sandpit and Paddling Pool Providers can bid for either or both Lots. The successful Provider will deliver an ambition for excellence and a quality events programme that safely achieves successful and varied events, all year round from the Meridian Showground. The successful Provider will take over the full management and day to day operations of the Discovery Centre, Paddling Pool and Sandpit and must meet the costs of delivering associated with this.
