The works are required to enable the Authority to assess whether possible enforcement proceedings need to be instigated in relation to the operations of the mine. The work involves reviewing technical information submitted by the mine operator to the Authority in respect of the current operations and mining methodologies employed at the mine. It will require an assessment of the information in the context of the current relevant planning permission and recent surface subsidence events, providing a critique of the adequacy of current mining methods in respect of ensuring surface land stability.
