There is an existing Community Ophthalmology Service in place which will reach the end of its contract term by late September 2019 which the CCG would like to re-commission. If a competitive procurement process were to take place, this will likely commence by February 2019. Documents attached provide details of the scope of the service - a draft Service Specification and an accompanying Memorandum of Information providing the context for this service. Whilst subject to change, the CCG's current intention is to offer a contract for 3 years (with the option to extend this by up to 2 years), with a new service commencing from late September 2019. The financial value of the contract is circa £1.4m per year.
