The material shall be natural stone of good quality, uniform in texture, free from iron banks, spots, sand holes, shakes and other imperfections. The material shall have a mean density of not less than 2,400kg/m³ and be crushed with 95% of the pieces falling within the size range of 300-800mm. 50% of the pieces shall fall within the size range 300-500mm. The supplier may propose an alternative to the above revetment for consideration by the Engineer but this must be returned alongside a tender compliant with the Specification.
