It is intended to replace the cladding on both buildings with an A1 certified fire rated cladding system while at the same time replacing aluminium windows and balcony doors. The Council is looking to engage an architect that has the direct experience and immediate capacity to undertake the design of the cladding, windows and balcony doors to both towers through to and including RIBA Stage 4. A structural surveyor has been separately engaged to consider the load that replacement cladding may put on the buildings.
