The aim of the market engagement event is; • To discuss the current contract which ends on 31st August 2020 • To outline the proposed procurement activities and discuss the project timeline. • To discuss key requirements of the service, which include; The provision of a disability register / database which captures high quality data which will be used to inform and shape the current and future services - providing us with insight. The register will also include relevant offers and associated discounts to promote health & well-being, social activity and interaction in their local community for those who sign up. The 1989 Children Act requires every local authority to keep a register or database of children and young people with significant special needs. Providers should note that this is not a call for competition. Participation or non-participation in this market engagement event will not preclude or provide any provider with an advantage in a future procurement process. The formal procurement is anticipated to commence early 2020.
