The proposed works comprise the Major Building Repair and Refurbishment of the existing British Embassy in Washington DC, USA comprising two Heritage Buildings with a combined GIFA of circa 88,000ft2 and a 1950's Office Block with a GIFA of circa 138,000ft2. The Procurement will be in accordance with 'EU Procurement Regulations' with an initial Selection Questionnaire (SQ) short listing process, followed by an Invitation to Tender (ITT) Stage. The form of Contract to be used is currently being reviewed and will be notified at SQ stage. It is anticipated that the SQ Process' will run during July 2018 with a return early August 2018, with the 'Restricted ITT Stage' December 2018 to February 2019. Works are anticipated to commence in July 2019 with a projected completion late 2021. 'Market Engagement Events' will be undertaken in London during week commencing 11th June 2018 and Washington DC during week commencing 18th June 2018. This is an opportunity to understand the bidding process and the project in more detail, meet the team, and ask any questions.
