Within the facility there is an existing Metrology capability, which will be focused on undertaking measurement in support of this research. As part of the equipment strategy a requirement for an optical shaft measurement system has been identified. The system will be used to measure components and test pieces manufactured during our research activities, including a specific requirement to have gear inspection capability.
