Prior to repairs and major works, management surveys and refurbishment surveys are required, together with re-inspection surveys of common parts. Both PHP and the Borough of Poole have a policy of removal of asbestos rather than encapsulation. The Borough of Poole is responsible for the management of the corporate buildings and other stock not covered by Housing. A programme of regular inspections and management surveys is undertaken as well as works to remove where there is no viable management option.
