As the machine will be utilised for research projects rather than production, the usage will be subject to frequent change to suit different projects. The solution should therefore be readily and rapidly changeable to work on multiple applications. The machine tool will allow manufacture of components in various materials, primarily aluminium but not excluding alloy steel and stainless steels. The equipment should allow for machining with high pressure coolant.
