Facilities will comprise an external hardstanding to each site and may include security posts or wall brackets, to which recycling bins will be fixed, preventing movement of the bins and vandalism. The 300+ sites to be targeted are amber and red sites as identified in the original survey of recycling provision potential sites in 2012/2013. Amber and red sites are defined as sites where the provision is more difficult to create, for example on sloping sites where retaining walls are required or on sites where existing facilities, such as drying areas, may have to be replaced.
