The new building is to replace two existing temporary classrooms which following a thorough building survey have been classed with a red warning meaning 'serious or critical issues' exist. This is a condition led scheme whereby several options have been reviewed. The options were to refurbish existing, replace one or replace both classrooms. It was determined by the SCOT team that a replacement of both classrooms should be progressed further. The development includes the demolition of the existing two Pratten buildings and re-providing the accommodation with a singular single storey building. The proposed accommodation needs to provide a central lobby and toilet accommodation in addition to the two classrooms.
