Further to the FRA Survey and Report on the Civic Offices, subsequent improvement works are now required to improve the fire standards throughout the building. Improvement works are required to ensure DDC comply with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The existing passenger lift located within Stairwell 2 of the Civic Offices does not provide adequate evacuation functions in a fire or other emergency scenario.
