East Midlands Shared Services is already a registered body with the DBS, and processes DBS applications for Nottingham City Council and Leicestershire County Council and their partners. EMSS also undertakes DBS processing for 267 organisations who request to use the umbrella body service. The contract will be awarded to one supplier for a duration will be for 36 months with the option to extend for a further 12 months, at the Authority's discretion.
