The project will include works to redress the level of the adjacent footway which has damage on the corner of Catharine Street and some sunken areas. Materials will be a small unit paving and a porous surfacing around the trees to both improve the conditions of the street trees and improve the sustainable drainage. High density cycle racks shall be installed and bespoke benches and planters constructed for the site. The adjacent public footway is primarily 400x400mm concrete slabs with some areas of tarmac where vehicle overrunning has been a problem. Sections of the footway slabs will require to be relayed to remove settlement from overrunning vehicles.
