This proposed project forms part of the heat strategy programme of work to build the evidence base around the different options for decarbonising heat. The project aims to help better understand the feasibility of a possible large-scale transition to heat pumps and develop innovative solutions that work for a wide range of houses and consumers. It is expected to include home suitability surveys to assess the feasibility of any heat pump installations, which will be followed by targeted installations across several hundred domestic on-gas grid properties.
