Colchester Borough Council (the Council) is procuring Rugby Pitch design and construction services to safeguard the delivery of the turf pitches proposed at the Colchester Northern Gateway Sports Hub - plots 2 and 3. The successful contractor will be engaged to construct 4 no. turf rugby pitches, including associated ground groundworks, drainage, topsoil laying, seeding and cultivation. The contractor will also be required to construct enabling works including an access road (including substantial civil works), temporary roads, fencing other pitch infrastructure. The contractor will be required to deliver within a short timescale and be cognisant of ecological and archaeological requirements across the site. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).
