The planned NFM programme is transformational in scale. It will provide a minimum reduction of 5% off the flood peak in Leeds through a variety of measures which include: - Woodland creation: increasing tree canopy across the catchment; - Land management: run off reduction via various means, including in urban areas, and - River and flood plain restoration: storage ponds and re-meandering, amongst others. The project is currently in the development phase, and delivery is anticipated to commence in earnest in Autumn 2019 and to continue through to 2024.
