From September 2018 to March 2020 the evaluation will: - Evaluate the programme's successes and challenges and report on the delivery of programme objectives from September 2016 to March 2020; - Explore possible barriers to success, and wherever possible provide reasonable recommendations for programme improvement; - Evaluate the progress toward required numbers of Mandarin speaking pupils; - Evaluate pupil progress and report on the prospect for sustainability of Mandarin teaching within schools after the end of the programme.
