The aim of the procurement is to create a world class resource in the use of genetic and genomic technologies within the NHS, and the provision of high quality, equitable and cost effective services. The procurement will include the provision of genomic testing for patients with, or at risk of, inherited disorders and sporadic genetic disorders, for NHS England. The model of future provision will encompass Genomic Central Laboratory Hubs, providing state of the art facilities with specialist skills and expertise who will be expected to work with Genomic Local Laboratory Hubs (local laboratory service providers). NHS England is planning to hold two Market Place Engagement Events in London, one on the 4 November 2016 and the other on 28 November 2016 to outline to potential bidders NHS England’s ambitions for patients linked to the new laboratory service and infrastructure. Organisations wishing to attend the Market Place Engagement Events are requested to contact Neelam Saroe on 07342 060658 or advising of the date on which you wish to attend and the names of your representatives. Details regarding lotting structures will be outlined at the market engagement event. Please note that the deadline for registering your attendance is 17:00 on 28.10.2016.
