The agreement forms a direct contract between DVLA and the prime contractor, for which the prime contractor will be responsible for managing the provision of visual field and actuity tests when requested by DVLA. ### Description of the modifications The procurement timetable originally secured sufficient time to cater for exit and transition as part of delivery, however the original plan has been impacted considerably by: •Cabinet office and DfT Procurement Assurance Board dictating a change in contract model which entailed significant re-drafting •Further clarification as part of specification assurance for the future procurement. Therefore extension of the term of contract up to 9 months to allow for competition.
