WP4 is about engaging with businesses to bring to market new products sourced from peatlands, based on sound economic benefits, as well as raising awareness of peatland ecosystems and benefits to wildlife to the local community. The citizen science part of WP4 is the focus of this tender. The citizen science project will include setting up the system for collecting data on the depth of peat and the collection of the data, which will be used subsequently and outside the scope of this tender to inform management of fens and water.
