Throughout the duration of the vehicle's life, components and hardware fail due to wear, damage or fatigue. Failed components and hardware must be replaced to ensure that winter service gritting functions can be completed. Direct Award Contract (DAC) is due to Econ Engineering owning the exclusive rights to its gritting bodies and parts. Econ Engineering does not operate a distribution network for spares and replacement parts.
