These thirty five (35) beds are specifically for patients requiring a short term programme of intensiverehabilitation therapy/care for up to a maximum of 28 days in a community hospital or residential setting forpeople who are medically stable (no significant medical problems that require acute medical care) but needa short period of rehabilitation from skilled nurses and therapists to enable them to re-gain sufficient physicalfunctioning and confidence to return safely into their own home/place of usual residence with or without furthertherapy input delivered in an OP setting.
