[More contracts for small businesses and VCSEs](https://tendernation.io/opportunities/for-small-businesses) ## About this tender - Lot 1 MDDC is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to deliver asbestos surveys and licensed asbestos removal work, including the collection of fly tipped asbestos waste, supporting the Planned Maintenance Service, Responsive Repairs Works, Disabled Facilities Grant works, Void works, Property Services and Environmental Health at numerous Council houses and Public Buildings within Mid Devon during the financial years from 2017-2021. The aim is to award the works to a contractor that can carry out asbestos surveys on an ad-hoc basis, provide a collection, cleaning and disposal service for fly tipped asbestos containing materials; as well as carry out licensed asbestos removal and disposal Work. The works will need to be carried out within the timescales aligned to the Mid Devon District Council's Services. Contractors will need to demonstrate their "competency" within the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 meaning for this type of work. The successful contractor will need to be licensed for this work by the Health and Safety Executive. The successful contractor will be required to adhere to the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 as a minimum. - Lot 2 MDDC is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified contractor to deliver asbestos surveys and unlicensed asbestos removal work, including Notifiable Non-Licensed Work to its properties, supporting the Planned Maintenance Service, Responsive Repairs Works, Disabled Facilities Grant works, Void works, Property Services and Environmental Health at numerous Council houses and Public Buildings within Mid Devon during the financial years from 2017-2021. The aim is to award the works to a contractor that can carry out asbestos surveys on an ad-hoc basis, provide a collection service for bagged asbestos containing materials and dispose of them correctly; as well as carry out unlicensed asbestos removal and disposal including Notifiable Non-Licensed Work.
