The length of contract will be confirmed at the Invitation to Tender stage. It is likely to be for a minimum of 3 years and may offer an extension period. The service is expected to deliver a minor injury service at Cheshunt Community Hospital. In line with NHS England guidance it has been agreed that the minor injury service will form a key part of a primary/ community care access hub at Cheshunt Community Hospital, therefore the provider will be expected to work co-operatively with other organisations across primary care, community and voluntary services. The Minor Injuries Service will manage all self-presenting patients to the MIU who arrive with a minor injury that is non-life or limb threatening and does not need intensive or specialist care.
