There is a requirement to: - Process 200 - 300 urines per day and enable analysis of increasing volumes of workload at a level of 5-7% per annum. The instrument must have a minimum process capacity of 80 samples per hour. - Maintain or improve turnaround times for final reports for negative urine samples. It is anticipated that at least 40% of the workload will be reported the same day. - Enable continuous mode operation if required. - Have a fully automated walk-away system. - Enable the analyser to be operated by a Medical Laboratory Assistant with minimal BMS involvement. - Remove the requirement to process any urines by manual microscopy - Ensure clear audit trails of data are available to meet Clinical Governance and UKAS accreditation requirements.
