This rig must provide the following parameters: - Frame: The load frame must consist of two columns so that the system can be adapted with an environmental chamber in the future. - Testing regimes: The system must allow static, monotonic testing and programmable cycling capability. - Max load (tension): The maximum load must be 5 kN or greater, but with strong control and accuracy at low forces. Load cells will have a 16-bit resolution. Load cells (and any switchable load ranges) will be calibrated to EN ISO 7500-1 standard. - Cyclic testing and frequency: The system must be capable of tension-tension, compression-compression and tension-compression cyclic testing. At 1 Hz the system must be capable of 2 mm displacement. - Analogue outputs: There must be 2 or more 0-10 V analogue outputs for load and displacement. - Analogue inputs: There must be one or more analogue 0-10 V input for extensometry.
