NEPT is the non-urgent and planned transportation of patients to and from a premises providing NHS healthcare and between healthcare providers. Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) are responsible for funding non-emergency patient transport (NEPT). The NEPT service contract provides for the movement of patients and their health related equipment (including oxygen) to and from NHS locations across Leicestershire and out within its borders, to and from the residence (including care homes) of Leicestershire’s (GP registered) population for the purpose of pre-determined NHS patient appointments and other clinical visits. The main benefits and expected outcomes are: • Equity of access and quality of the service across LLR; • Equitable and consistent application of the Eligibility Criteria; • Ensuring Value for money and the most efficient use of available resources across the health and social care economy • A collaborative, problem-solving approach with all stakeholders across the health and social care economy and • Promoting and ensuring a positive patient experience The Market Engagement Event will take place in the morning on 24th August 2016 in Leicester City Centre. The Market Engagement Event will provide: • an overview of the service to be provided • details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions • an overview of the procurement process and the anticipated timeline • an opportunity for you to ask questions and feedback on the presentations Places are strictly limited therefore reservations are restricted to no more than 2 persons per organisation.
