Evidence suggests that cold homes caused by poor thermal efficiency and fuel poverty have negative impacts on health, particularly on older people and those with pre-existing medical conditions. Public Health have agreed to fund the Better Homes, Better Health programme for the financial year 2017/18 with a budget of £60,000 - through a public health grant.
