Lewisham Council wishes to improve the facilities the park offers to the communities surrounding it, and to attract a much more diverse and larger audience to use and enjoy it. The Council aims to make Beckenham Place Park the well-loved community asset it should be, as the largest park in South East London with significant ecological and historical value. We have been awarded £5million from the Heritage Lottery Fund to support a comprehensive restoration scheme at Beckenham Place Park and we are about to embark on the delivery phase of the project, with the aim of completing works in May 2019.
